University of Alabama in Huntsville

2018-2022

I decided to pursue a career in design during my freshman year of college. I started by taking basic graphic design classes, but soon transitioned to more specialized courses such as web design and UX/UI design. While I enjoyed some classes more than others, I found classes such as user experience and product design particularly interesting. This led me to enroll in a senior project course where I created a podcast website, marking my first experience working with a real client. Before graduating, I also contributed to several projects for small business and various non-profit organizations.

2022-Present

Upon graduation, I accepted a graphic design position at the U.S. Air Force Academy. It has been a fast-paced experience that has given me a much broader perspective on the process required for large projects which need design support. I worked on several significant events with other specialized teams such as photographers, writers, videographers and marketing specialists. I have come to appreciate the responsibility and accountability that comes with such complex projects. So far, working here has been a well-rounded opportunity, allowing me to solve problems in many design fields ranging from web to print and UX/UI to illustration.
